Account & Security Glossary

The information used to sign in to an account. Depending on the configuration, you may be able to sign in with a username, email address, or both.

A security credential used together with your username or email to sign in. Use a strong password and do not reuse it on another platform.

A code required when creating a new account. It identifies the referrer and determines the account’s position in the referral network.

On the registration form, this may be displayed as Invitation Code.

A registration link that already contains a Referral Code. When a new user opens the link, the code may be filled automatically.

A temporary code sent to the registered email address. It may be used during registration, password reset, or withdrawal verification when Two-Factor Authentication is not enabled.

A second authentication layer used after the password. When 2FA is enabled, you enter an Authentication Code from an Authenticator App to sign in or confirm a sensitive action.

An application that generates time-based Authentication Codes, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or another compatible app.

A short-lived code generated by the Authenticator App. It is commonly a six-digit code and changes after a short period.

A backup code used when you lose access to your 2FA device or Authenticator App. Store Recovery Codes separately and never share them.

The official bot used to receive notifications about account security, balance changes, deposits, withdrawals, investments, and system events.

A Telegram bot does not replace Two-Factor Authentication.

The process of adding the BrokerIG web app to the Home Screen or application launcher so that it opens more like an installed app.

On Android, this may appear as Install app or Add to Home screen. On iPhone or iPad, use Add to Home Screen in Safari.

Your authenticated sign-in session in a browser or installed web app. When the session expires, you must sign in again.

Do not confuse an account session with an Investment Session.
